Marie Claire Androulaki, M.Sc.
Marie Claire studied Law in Greece and holds a Master of Science Degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Advertising and Marketing Communications from Boston University, USA.
In September 2014, Marie Claire attended in Athens an intensive introductory course in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics at: The "Stavros Niarchos" Foundation - Collaborative Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Outcomes (CLEO) Research, a joint collaboration of the 1st and 2nd University Departments of Pediatrics of the "Aghia Sophia" and "P. & A. Kyriakou" Children's Hospitals.
Her educational background also includes visual arts courses at Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, USA as well as desktop publishing / graphic design seminars from AKTO, a leading art and design institution in Greece.
Having more than 17 years’ professional experience, she started her career working as an apprentice lawyer in “A. Vgenopoulos Law Office” and continued as a communicator in advertising, PR, polling agencies and political institutions (including McCann Erickson Athens, Solid Advertising, DATA RC, CIP, Institute for Democracy C.K.).
Since 2000, Marie Claire has worked primarily in the information technology sector/software solutions (Velti, CHOES) and the congress organizing industry as a business development / communications manager. Her expertise in congress event organizing combined with health communications projects was gained while working at two leading Professional Congress Organizers in Athens—both IAPCO members.
As a senior communications consultant, Marie Claire undertook or participated in various private and public sector PR projects, media relations activities and international conferences focused on: health and pharmaceuticals; the environment (climate change – renewables); education; cultural events; incentive travelling and local-Greek tourism; international relations and public affairs. As a communicator she conceptualized and edited numerous CSR events and new business development projects including bidding proposals addressed to both local and international scientific associations.
Her creative interests have led her to attend several continuing education programs such as: creative writing, cultural management, architectural and interior design, jewellery design workshops, painting and sculpture.
She speaks Greek, English and French.
Mary Marketaki, M.Sc.
Mary is a Communications Consultant with more than 20 years’ experience in multinational companies in the Food, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals sectors.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Athens and a Master’s Degree in New Technologies for Marketing & Communication from the Athens University of Economics and Business. She has attended seminars on Issue and Crisis Management both in Greece and in the Management Centre Europe in Brussels.
She started her career at Nestle Hellas. Following that, she worked at Elmec Sport (NIKE) as well as at the Hellenic-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mary held the position of the Head of Communications at Roche Hellas, an affiliate of Hoffmann – La Roche, Switzerland, for 15 years.
During her career in the pharmaceuticals sector, Mary collaborated with all Roche Hellas divisions where she initiated a multitude of projects designed to improve Roche’s corporate image both to key stakeholders, including medical societies, patient associations and medical journalists as well as to internal audiences.
She was head of many corporate communications projects as well as an active member of the company’s crisis management workforce. During her tenure at Roche, she was also the chief editor of all corporate print editions and she represented Roche Hellas to SFEE’s (Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies) committees.
Mary was granted the Roche Performance Award for her role in the success of multiple disease awareness campaigns, various product launch communications activities as well as her excellence in media relations.
In recognition of her contribution to the fundraising of Roche’s Corporate Social Responsibility project in Africa, Mary was selected to be one of Roche’s “Ambassadors” to Malawi.
She speaks Greek, English, French and German.
